GURGAON: Two traffic cops were transferred to police lines for allegedly collecting money from truck and auto drivers in Sector 26 for the past few months.
However, they have not been suspended.
Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Rajesh and constable Sanjeev, who were posted at Choudhary Bakhtawar Singh Chowk, were transferred on Wednesday after some harassed drivers visited police commissioner Navdeep Virk and complained that the traffic cops have been demanding money from them.

ASI Rajesh, who was also the zonal officer, and Sanjeev, have been transferred to police lines and assigned the duty of escorting undertrials from Bhondsi jail for court hearings.
"We are yet to receive any written complaint against them. We will start a probe after we get a written complaint. They cannot be suspended %before we conduct a probe," Virk said.
