Prohibitory orders to come into effect at IMT Manesar from today

GURGAON: Police have imposed Section 144 of Criminal Procedure Court (CrPc) in the IMT area of Manesar from Friday. The move came ahead of the third year of workers' violence at the Maruti plant.
The order was issued by the district magistrate on the request of the police. Personnel manager Awanish Kumar Dev died and at least 40 people injured in a clash at Maruti Suzuki India's Manesar plant on July 18, 2012.
According to orders issued by the DM, more than five persons cannot assemble anywhere in IMT Manesar. Nor can a person carry out any kind of weapons, arms, sticks, etc in the area. "Police and the office of DCP (south) have already issued a notice to the Maruti Association," said inspector Jagdish Parshad, SHO, Manesar police station.
