Bali Bhagat takes salute at passing out parade of Forest Guards

Says discipline, decorum key ingredients to professional success

Terming discipline and decorum as key ingredients to achieve success in an organization, Minister for Social Welfare, Forests, Environment and Ecology, Bali Bhagat today exhorted upon newly recruited Forest Guards to discharge their duties with utmost honesty and dedication.The Minister was speaking at the passing out parade of 47th batch of 31 Forest Guards held at Forest Guard Training School Doomi (Akhnoor). These guards have undergone basic six months training. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, A.K. Singh, Chief Conservator of Forests, R.S. Jasrotia, Regional Wildlife Warden Jammu, Roshan Jaggi, Chief Conservator of Forests Ecotourism, Ashwani Gupta, Conservator of Forests, West Circle, Sameer Bharti, Chief Wildlife Warden Abdul Razak, Regional Director Social Forestry, V.S. Senthil Kumar, DFO Jammu Forest Division Hitender Singh, Principal Forest Guard Training School, Rakesh Abrol besides other staff members were present on the occasion.

Complimenting the pass-outs, the Minister advised them to imbibe values of life which will serve as a proper guide for them to perform their duties efficiently and effectively. He highlighted the importance of imparting practical and skill development training for real growth and development. He asked the recruits to uphold the sanctity of their profession and work as a team.The Minister stressed upon the pass-outs to contribute in further streamlining the working of forest organization. He said that honesty, integrity and dedication should be the key ingredients for them to develop and improvise work culture and to make it as a model forest organization.

He said that Forest department has unique recognition and government is working on a comprehensive plan to bring revolution in the forest division to make it a revenue generating organization. He said that forest schools and institutions are backbone of forest department and there is need to upgrade existing infrastructure in these institutions.   Earlier, the Minister took salute at the Passing-out-Parade. The all round best recruit forest guard Sandeep Sharma of Poonch Forest Division stood first and was awarded gold medal while Sumit Kumar  of Urban Forestry Division Jammu and Yasir Ahmed Naumani of Bhaderwah Forest Division stood 2nd and 3rd respectively. The Minister also distributed certificates among trainees who were passed out.

On the occasion, Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, A.K. Singh apprised the Chief Guest about the activities undertaken by the institution to transform the recruits into competent and professional forest official. He said that during the rigorous training course special thrust was given to ingrain spirit of public service and loyalty towards duty among the recruits.Vote of thanks was presented by Principal of the Forest Guard Training School Rakesh Abrol.
