Monsoon dance fest at IIC

A monsoon festival of dance is being organised at the India International Centre (IIC) to showcase “The Male in Bharatnatyam”.

Titled Purushaakaram, the two-day festival will see performances by Praveen Kumar from Bangalore, who is a disciple of Guru Smt Narmada and Prof. C.V. Chandrashekhar, and Renjith Babu from Chennai, a disciple of Prof. C.V. Chandrasekhar, and Dhananjayans on the evening of July 16.

July 17 will see performances by S. Vijay Kumar from Chennai, a disciple of Sujatha Parameswaram, and Lokesh Bharadwaj from Delhi, a disciple of Justin McCarthy.
