Dehradun Football Association beat Roorkee FC 2-1

Dehradun: Dehradun Football Association (DFA) defeated Roorkee FC 2-1 in a match during the Shaheed Surjan Singh Bhandari Memorial Football Tournament in Dehradun on Wednesday. 

Roorkee FC had a great start with a lead of one goal scored by Tarakant in the 11th minute of the game. However, after that the team got off the track. Ravi Tamang and Roshan of the DFA team scored two goals in the 29th and 34th minutes, respectively, leading the team to victory. 

In another match, Akaranta Boys beat Bajrang Club 8-7 in a penalty shootout. During the match, both teams settled at 1-1, pushing the match in a tiebreaker. 

Pramod, Ravi, Manish, Ajay, Akash, Sudarshan and Manish scored goals for the Akaranta Boys team, whereas Gopal, Mahendra, Saurav, Rajesh, Gagan and Nagendra scored for Bajrang Club.—TNS
