Start prepping your fashion week survival kit—the grand finale and opening designers of Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 have been announced.
Designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla will be the ones to open the new season on 25th August, 2015. The designers have hinted that we’ll see more of their signature, opulent traditional wear but reinvented for a fresh, youthful audience.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Gupta, he of the couture saris and edgy gowns, will take the stage for the finale. About his upcoming show, Gupta revealed, “While fantasy will remain at the heart of my collection, you will definitely see a playful juxtaposition of structure with fluidity and red carpet glamour.” Both names are known to be equally flamboyant and not ones to skimp on glamour. In this season of sporty, normcore fashion, perhaps this is a change that we can all look forward to.
