NYK organizes World Youth Skills Day at Nagrota

To mark the World Youth Skills Day, Nehru Yuva Kendra and Helpline Humanity organised a function at Nagrota near here today.MLC Surinder Ambardar was chief guest and senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi was guest of honor on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, the MLC appreciated efforts of the organizers for celebrating the day and highlighted the importance of learning skills in today’s world. He said youth of the nation should channelize their energy towards learning new skills so as to ensure better future prospects and to contribute towards Nation’s development.He called upon the youth to come forward and take maximum benefits from different government schemes of skill learning.Highlighting importance of learning skills, Yudhvir Sethi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid special emphasis on skill development and Skill Development Mission has been launched on World Youth Skills Day. He said learning skills and promoting entrepreneurship has to be promoted among youth so as to fulfil the dream of a ‘Skilled Nation’.

Prominent among those who attended the event include, Zonal Director Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Sukdev Singh, S.S. Kashyab, Nissar Ahmad Azad, President, Helpline Humanity M.K. Bhat, P.L. Dhar and Sohan Lal Hangloo.Sukdhev Singh elaborated about the activities of NYK on mass awakening campaign for youth participation in National  development, awareness programs on  Pradhan Mantri  Jan Dan Yojna, Swachh Bharat Mission clean India campaign, Motivation  and facilitate construction of toilets under Nirmal Bharat Abhiyan, Sukanya  Samridhi scheme under Beti Bacho Beti Padao Yojna, Atal Pension Bima Yogana, Skill Development Training  Programme under Udaan  and Himayat schemes for the youth and importance of the Yoga and cultural Heritage.Helpline Humanity also honored Sameer Koul , Sohan Lal and P. L Dhar for their contributions.
