Administrators secure sale of Pi Innovo

Jobs have been safeguarded after Baker Tilly administrators secured the sale of a Cambridgeshire-based electronic systems developer.

Steven Law and Nigel Millar of Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery were appointed as joint administrators of Pi Innovo Ltd on 8 July 2015.

The company, based in Oakington, specialises in the design and development of electronic systems for the transport industry as well as consultancy services.

Administrators worked with the directors to secure the sale of the business to global automotive design, engineering, testing service provider Applus Idiada Group, based in Spain.

The sale was completed on 8 July 2015 and all 29 staff members have remained in post. The financial value of the deal was undisclosed.

Steven Law said: "It is pleasing that we were able to achieve a continuation of the business and preserve all of the jobs.

"As a result of the sale, creditors can expect an enhanced dividend than had the company proceeded into liquidation."
