Have you ever heard of a unisex washing machine? No, we’re not talking about the gender of a washing machine (because who can tell?). An ad for a “unisex” washing machine was placed in Bangalore Times July 11 edition, reports Buzzfeed.
According to the ad, “washing clothes is not just women’s department” and there’s a picture of a happy, smiling husband-wife duo holding a stripped shirt beside it. However there is no mention on how it is specifically unisex. Does it have some advanced technology that makes sure both men and women simultaneously wash clothes? Does it lure both sexes equally? Unfortunately, we don’t know.
But take a moment the absorb that. Jokes running through your head? Well Twitter beat you to it. All of Wednesday morning hilarious responses and reactions to the ad were floating around on Twitter. Here are some tweets:
We'd do much better if we promote #UnisexLaws instead of unisex washing machine. Another feminist scam. #BeyondWTF http://t.co/AvwWJrGCWl
