Atletico sets up date with Shanghai

It will be a case of master versus apprentice on Aug 4 as Diego Simeone matches wits with former manager Sven-Goran Eriksson when Shanghai SIPG hosts Atletico Madrid in the Wanda International soccer friendly.

The match at Shanghai Stadium will conclude Atletico's two-stop Asia preseason tour that starts with a game against J.League side Sagan Tosu in Japan on Aug 1.

Simeone, who won 106 caps for Argentina and played in three World Cups, has become one of the world's most respected managers after overseeing a huge upturn in Atletico's fortunes since taking over in December 2011.
