Lal Singh visits Hazratbal shrine, reviews arrangements for ensuing festivals

Minister for Health and Medical Education, Choudhary Lal Singh today visited Hazratbal shrine and reviewed the arrangements for the ensuing religious festivals. He issued directions to the officers to ensure adequate medicare facilities in the shrine for the visiting devotees during the auspicious days. The Minister also paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for the well being of the people of the State. He also interacted with the management of the shrine and discussed the medical facilities required in the shrine during the festivities.

Earlier, Ch. Lal Singh also paid visit to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) SR Gunj and reviewed its functioning. He inspected medical store and other units of the health institution and issued on-the-spot instructions to the head of the institution to ensure proper sanitation and improve overall functioning. He also directed for maintaining proper inventory of all the articles and records of the hospital in a transparent manner.

He called upon the medicos to work with extra zeal and dedication to provide best services to the patients as per the medical ethics. He also directed the in-charge of the PHC to make arrangements for necessary medical checkup of the students in the nearby schools after brief intervals.Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmed Lone, Director General Indian System of Medicines, Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Dr. Sameer Mattoo and other senior officers of the health and medical education department accompanied the Minister.
