Maiden titles for Burhanudin, Hozefa

Burhanudin Malubhai of Surat defeated winner of the first two editions Pratham Madlani of Porbandar 14-12, 11-6, 6-11, 11-6, 11-5 to claim his maiden ranking title in the cadet boys category of the Elecon 3rd Open Gujarat Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organized by Anand District Table Tennis Association at Yugpurush Swami Vivekanand Sports Complex, Anand.

AHMEDABAD: Burhanudin Malubhai of Surat defeated winner of the first two editions Pratham Madlani of Porbandar 14-12, 11-6, 6-11, 11-6, 11-5 to claim his maiden ranking title in the cadet boys category of the Elecon 3rd Open Gujarat Ranking Table Tennis Tournament organized by Anand District Table Tennis Association at Yugpurush Swami Vivekanand Sports Complex, Anand.

In the sub-junior boys final 10th-seeded Hozefa Godhrawala, also of Surat, prevailed over top-seeded Dhairya Parmar 11-7, 7-11, 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8 in seven well fought games.
Fagun Bhatt of Bhavnagar got the better of her district mate Dhara Parmar 11-2, 11-4, 11-6, 11-8 to take the sub-junior girls title.
Top-seeded Kaushal Bhatt of Bhavnagar claimed the junior boys title defeating sixth seed Ishaan Hingorani of Kachchh 11-6, 6-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-6, 11-5. Second seed Namna Jaiswal of Bhavnagar had a tough time before edging past city mate Kavisha Parekh 8-11, 10-12, 11-4, 7-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-6 in the cadet girls final.
