BIRGUNJ: Police on Tuesday arrested an Indian national with possession of five kg silver from Chapakaiya of Birgunj.

Organising a press conference, the Narayanai Zonal Police Office informed that the street value of the seized silver is Rs 300,000.

A police team deployed from the Narayanai Zonal Police Office nabbed Binod Prasad Kalwar of Raxual-17, Bihar with the illegal silver from Chapakaiya, Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-1.

Acting on a tip-off, Kalwar, who was heading towards Raxual of India from Birgunj, was detained during the security check, DSP Anurag Dibudi of the Zonal Police Office informed.

He informed that Kalwar along with the seized silver has been handed over to the Revenue Investigation Deparment, Pathlaiya for investigation.
