YEREVAN, JULY 14, ARMENPRESS: The 12th conference of the International Association of Genocide Scholars will foster the increase of the interest of the Armenian and foreign scholars towards the study of the Armenian Genocide. “The Yerevan conference of the International Association of Genocide Scholars is important not only for the established, highly respected scientists Alex Hinton, Donna Frieze, Richard Hovannisian, Yair Auron, Daniel Feierstein, but also for the young scientists. This proportion is the best, as it provides with the opportunity to learn from the prominent scientists and at the same time encourages the newcomers. And the latter is very important, as during the recent years, unfortunately, we see some lack of non-Armenian specialists, engaged in the Armenian Genocide issue”, - said Suren Manukyan, the Deputy Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Armenpress reports.
