Everybody is a superhero fan. Some accept it, some don't. Love for superheroes in Indians range from Batman to Shaktiman with Krrish hanging somewhere in the middle. Bollywood has been bringing out superhero movies and some of them are hilarious. Here are nine and a half Indian superheroes -

1) Jackie Shroff in Shiva Ka Insaaf (1985)

Jackie Shroff is cool. Jackie Shroff behind a mask is cooler. Jackie Shroff playing a superhero who chases villains on a cycle is coolest.

2) Puneet Issar's (version of Superman) in Superman (1987)

If there was anyone in the industry who could play Superman in that era, it was Dharmendra. But Dharmendra played Jor-El, the father of Superman and Puneet Issar became the Superman. We wonder what the casting director was tripping on.

3) Anil Kapoor in Mr.India (1987)

It took three decades for Indian cinema to be inspired by the novel Invisible Man written in 1952. Anil Kapoor played Mr.India who had the power to become invisible with the help of a device. Movie was one of the biggest hits that year and is considered a cult classic.

4) Amitabh Bachchan in Ajooba (1991)

Senior Bachchan has quite got that superhero swag. He pulled off playing one in Ajooba. Donning a silver mask, black cape and punishing villains with a whip, Amitabh Bachchan nailed it.

5) Abhishek Bachchan in Drona (2008)

Junior Bachchan quite lacks his father's superhero swag. He played a superhero in Drona and no body bothered to watch it. Seeing the trailer, we don't think it is worth your time either.

6) Hrithik Roshan in Krrish (2006, 2013)

Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan smartly mixed Batman's costume, Superman's strength and flying power and copied scenes from Spiderman. Now that's a mix kids would love. A movie that breaks all box-office records when released lacks just one thing - common sense.

7) Rajnikanth in Robot (2010)

Thanks to his movies, Rajnikanth is considered a superhero anyway. A terrible rip off of the Hollywood flick 'I,Robot', Rajnikanth played the roles of a scientist, and his creation - a robot with superpowers. Though the movie was a huge hit, I feel it would have done better if Rajnikanth just decided to do a superhero movie playing himself.

8) Shahrukh Khan in Ra.One (2011)

Shahrukh Khan made a mistake making this movie and his fans made a mistake of watching it. Enough said.

9) Mukesh Khanna in Shaktiman (1993)

Shaktiman is undoubtedly the most celebrated Indian superhero. Though never made into a Bollywood movie, this character from a TV series has been ruling hearts ever since it's been aired.

10)Govinda in a song from Dariya Dil(1988)

Govinda would have been perfect to play Spiderman but it never happened. Instead, they made him dance in a funny Superman attire. Add to it, a girlfriend in Spiderman's costume. Epic!
