GREATER NOIDA: A 28-year-old man has been booked for allegedly killing his lover's husband at his home in Greater Noida on Sunday night.
Police said the two men worked at a factory in Ghaziabad and had a heated argument few days ago, with the deceased asking the accused to end the relationship with his wife. The accused, Ramveer, is on the run. Police said the deceased, Brijlal (32), who lived with his family in Chapraula village in Greater Noida had got married two years ago.
"Soon after the marriage, Brijlal found out about his wife having an extra marital affair. She was involved with her brother's brother-in-law. When Brijlal opposed the relationship and asked his wife and her lover to end this relationship, she still kept meeting him," said an officer at the Badalpur police station in Greater Noida where the FIR has been lodged.
"Brijlal's father stated in his complaint that Ramveer came to his house on Sunday night, shot his son and then fled," the officer said, adding that a police team was dispatched to Ramveer's residence in Bulandshahr but he could not be traced.
"The accused is at large. An FIR has been lodged and the body has been sent for autopsy. We have formed teams and raids are being conducted to nab the culprit," he added.
