NEW DELHI: Admission into economics is still open for general category at Shri Ram College of Commerce even in the fifth list. While there’s no drop in the cutoff (97.375%), this time candidates who qualified earlier under general and PwD (person with disability) categories are also eligible.
“There is just one seat left in economics. If we reduce by even half a mark, 63 candidates become eligible.
It is very difficult to accommodate so many,” said SRCC principal Ashok Sehgal.
Several colleges have still kept admission open in popular subjects, but there are very low or no drop in cutoffs. Lady Shri Ram College has dropped its sociology cutoff by 0.25% 95.5%, but psychology remains unchanged at 97.75%. Admission is also open in statistics at 96%.
