ZDoggMD takes on readmissions à la R. Kelly, scores big

Las Vegas hospitalist-turned-video parody star ZDogg takes on hospital readmissions with “Readmissions,” based on R. Kelly’s 2003 hit, “Ignition (Remix).” Just try to show me another music video that mentions PICC lines, Press Ganey Scores and the Joint Commission.

Go big or go home!

Dr. Zubin Damania, a.k.a. ZDogg MD, chose the former option with his latest video, which counts more than a million YouTube hits barely two weeks after it dropped. (That’s what the cool kids say about new music, that it ‘dropped,’ right?)

This time, Las Vegas hospitalist-turned-video parody star ZDogg takes on hospital readmissions with “Readmissions,” based on R. Kelly’s 2003 hit, “Ignition (Remix).” Just try to show me another music video that mentions PICC lines, Press Ganey Scores and the Joint Commission.

Instead of Cristal, ZDogg and crew are passing around bottles of Boost. Because, medicine.

Make sure you stick around at the end for a brief outtake and an important message from Damania himself.

Note that the video comes with a disclaimer: “This R&B parody anthem is clinically proven to lower readmission rates. But it’s R. Kelly, so please don’t ask for a ‘p’ value.”

A Deep-dive Into Specialty Pharma

A specialty drug is a class of prescription medications used to treat complex, chronic or rare medical conditions. Although this classification was originally intended to define the treatment of rare, also termed “orphan” diseases, affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the US, more recently, specialty drugs have emerged as the cornerstone of treatment for chronic and complex diseases such as cancer, autoimmune conditions, diabetes, hepatitis C, and HIV/AIDS.
