The smartphone runs on Xolo Hive platform and sports a 5.5-inch 1080p Full HD OGS display at a pixel density of 401ppi. It runs on a 64 bit octa-core second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 CPU with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB internal memory which can be expandable up to 32GB. Based on Android Lollipop, the smartphone comes with the latest Hive Atlas, with an inbuilt browser called Comet Browser which saves data.

On the camera front, it comes with dual rear cameras (13MP + 2MP) with Chroma Flash along with 5MP front camera with LED Flash. Powered by a 3,200 mAh battery with Quick Charge technology, Xolo Black supports 4G connectivity and sports a hybrid dual SIM tray.
