SPIED: Pagani Huayra – hardcore version spotted?

Pagani-Huayra-Hardcore002

The Pagani Huayra stands as one of the most striking cars ever to grace the planet, but if you’re looking for an even more visceral experience than what 700 hp and 1,000 Nm can give you, then the Modenese supercar maker appears to have just the answer.

Seen here are photos of an unidentified variant of the Huayra, as seen through the lens of our European spy photographers. From the outside, there isn’t really anything to distinguish it from the “standard” car – even the large front splitter seen here is available as part of an optional aero pack. What we do see are lurid green brake callipers that may be hinting at some serious hardware under the skin.

Whether this car is a hardcore track-biased version in disguise, or simply testing components for running updates is not known. The car is covered in QR codes, however, and scanning it reveals a “development” page with videos of engineers tweaking and testing the mule, all ending with the phrase, “…to be continued.” This should mean that whatever it is that’s behind the camo is coming pretty soon…
