MYSURU: Natana Theatre School of actor Mandya Ramesh was inaugurated here on Sunday.
Expressing his happiness for being part of the inaugural event, actor Prakash Raj said that he started his acting career from theatre, "the mother of all art forms". "The contribution of Ramesh to theatre is immense, and I'm sure the new school will be of great help to theatre aficionadoes," he added.

Rajya Sabha MP B Jayashree, who is also a theatreperson, congratulated Ramesh for coming out with "a much-needed theatre school in Mysuru".
Director B Suresha said people should encourage theatre by watching plays to be staged by Natana Theatre School troupes. Rangayana director H Janardhan assured support to Ramesh. "If he agrees, we will arrange play performances in the school," Janardhan added. MLC G Madhusudana said theatre is a great platform for expression.
Chief minister Siddaramaiah, who was to inaugurate the school, could not make it owing to his packed schedule in the city. Kannada and culture minister Umashree and district minister V Srinivas Prasad also did not attend the programme.
