Department of Science and Technology (DST), government organises this annual programme to identify, encourage and assist talented and motivated students to pursue research career in science and to ensure that the best scientific talent is groomed for research and development in the country.

Eligibility: Class XI science, Class XII science and first-year students of B.Sc./ B.S./ B.Math./ B.Stat./ Int. M.Sc./ M.S.

Application: Online

Prizes and rewards: Rs. 5,000 per month stipend and contingency Rs. 20,000 per year for a period of 3 to 5 years.

Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship

K. C. Mahindra Education Trust, Mumbai, is inviting applications from students who wish to pursue or are pursuing a job-oriented diploma course at a recognised government polytechnic institute. Preferences are given to girl students and children from lower-income-group families.

Eligibility: Class X and XII pass students who have secured admission in government or recognised polytechnic institutes for diploma courses can apply.

Prizes and rewards: A scholarship amount of Rs. 10,000 per year for a maximum of three years.

All students belonging to SC/ST/physically challenged categories pursuing two-year full-time MBA/PGDBM in Human Resource Management/Finance Management/General Management from any IIMs, XLRI and FMS can apply.

Eligibility: Students in their second-year of study in the academic year 2015-16 and having 60 per cent marks in the first-year examination.

Prizes and rewards: A scholarship amount of Rs. 4,000 per month for 24 months will be given to 30 selected students.
