PALANPUR: An employee of Mehsana-based Angadiya firm has gone missing with Rs 20 lakh cash since Friday afternoon. The police has registered a complaint against 42-year-old Suresh Patel, who was an employee of Ramesh Kantilal Patel firm at Sardar complex near railway godown in Mehsana town.
According to sub-inspector S K Desai of Mehsana B-division police station, Patel was assigned the work to deliver a bag containing Rs 20 lakh to a Kalol-based branch of the firm.

Patel along with a colleague went on a bike till Modhera crossroads where he got down. His colleague left after dropping him there, police said.
After an hour, one of the partners of the firm called Patel on his mobile phone but it was switched off. Even after nine hours, when Patel could not be contacted the firm owner contacted their Kalol branch office and found that Patel had not turned up there.
Later, the Angadiya firm owner Dinesh Patel filed a missing complaint with the police.
"As per the direction of J R Mothaliya, superintendent of police in Mehsana, we have formed four police teams and sent them in different locations to trace Suresh Patel," said Desai, adding that they have cordoned different points of the district.
