Mittal ignored industry: Jakhar

Congress Leader of Opposition Sunil Jakhar today criticised BJP minister Madan Mohan Mittal for adopting double standards. He asked why Mittal, who yesterday hit out at the SAD for neglecting industry in the state, was silent on the issue for the last eight years.

Jakhar also held the Industry Minister responsible for the flight of industry from the state. He alleged the industrial units shifted base due to the high power tariffs imposed in the state.

He said as Leader of Opposition in the House he demanded a debate on the poor state of the industry in the state in the Assembly, but Mittal never addressed the issue.
