KSIDC to start more business incubation centres

KOCHI: Encouraged by the success of its business incubation centre at Infopark in Kochi, the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) is planning to start such centres in three places in the state.
After launching the products of three startups of Kochi centre, KSIDC managing director M Beena said the corporation will start business incubation centres at Angamaly near Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode.

``We have identified 5000 sq ft. at Angamaly and the centre is likely for multi-products and not confined to IT alone. It will come up in three months time. At Thiruvananthapuram, we are planning one exclusively for women,’’ Beena said.

For the Kochi centre KSIDC had selected 12 startup ventures from more than 1000 applicants. Beena launched the products of three companies 3QMentors, Zybotech and Blackwash Labs. 3QMentors has developed a educational management solution . The app by Blackwash Labs let the users know about the latest discounts and offers around them.

Track-on Pro application developed by Zybotech helps in employee tracking and provides software solutions to small and medium level business units.

KSIDC had set up an angel fund with a corpus of Rs 10 crore. It has paid Rs 25 lakh each as seed fund to four startups.
