Shivarajkumar to play Godfather?

Century Star Shivarajkumar turns a year older on Sunday, but going by the kind of action-packed films he is doing, there seems to be no slowing him down. In fact, one of his next projects, Leader, a film directed by Sahana Murthy, will be action-oriented and have the actor in two very distinctive looks.
Tarun Shivappa, who is joining hands with long-time pal Hardik Gowda, to produce the film, says, “Sahana has scripted a tale that will see Shivarajkumar in a Godfather kind of role in the first half, with a salt-and-pepper look.Major portions of this half will be shot in Bengaluru and Mysuru,” says Tarun.
The action then shifts to Kashmir. “The second half of the film pans out amid a terrorism backdrop and will explore what happens to Shivarajkumar’s character in those circumstances,” says Tarun. The idea, says director Sahana, was to establish a character, who without any political influence, emerges as a leader of sorts for people. “In most of Shivarajkumar’s film, his characters have a social responsibility, but at a very local level. In Leader, he will be seen tackling an international issue,” he says. Leader will have two heroines, as well as four younger heroes to support Shivarajkumar, all of whom are yet to be finalized. Shooting for the film begins in September or October.
