Lok adalat on July 11

The Nilgiris district judiciary will hold a mega Lok Adalat meet on July 11, based on instructions from the Supreme Court, says a release from the District Legal Services Authority.

It says that the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court will inaugurate the Adalat, which will begin at 10.30 a.m.

The Principal District Judge A.A. Nakheeran has ordered conduct of the Adalat in courts in Coonoor, Gudalur, Kothagiri and Pandalur as well. Litigants with issues related to power supply, telephone service and drinking water, motor accident claims, family disputes, labour disputes, etc. can attend.

The release says that for disputes resolved at the Adalat there will be no appeal. Plus there is the possibility of getting back the court fee paid through stamp paper. It asks the litigants to make use of the opportunity.
