City pays legitimate Xanax holder $25K for false arrest

The city is paying $25,000 to a woman busted in The Bronx for possession of a controlled substance — her own eight Xanax pills in a prescription bottle with her name and address on it.

“I felt completely violated,” social worker Jessica Salch, 35, told The Post about her arrest and incarceration for eight hours on charges ultimately dismissed.

The city deemed it “best” to settle Salch’s Manhattan federal case, a city spokesman said.
