July 10, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - ERODE:

Accompanied by District Collector S. Prabakar, Superintendent of Police M.R. Sibi Chakravarthy, Corporation Commissioner R. Mohan, and a host of senior railway officials, Erode MP S. Selvakumara Chinnaiyan carried out an inspection of the Junction on Thursday morning.

Frequent traffic congestions on the Railway Station Road necessitated the inspection, the MP said. Railway officials were receptive to the idea of the SP for installation of surveillance cameras and making improvements in lightings through identifying sponsors. The District Collector assured to find sponsors for maintaining the park.

Mr. Chinnaiyan instructed railway officials to set right the damaged portions of the platforms and to fix support railings on the sides of the passageway for the convenience of aged passengers.
