Were still waits on clearance

Cape Town - Paul Were admits he is concerned about his footballing future as he continues to wait on AmaZulu to release his International Transfer Certificate.

The forward only signed with Usuthu in July last year but has already jumped ship after the South African club's relegation to the National First Division.

Were has since signed an agreement with Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia, but is unable to represent his new club, and the striker admits the delay is starting to become a concern.

"My fingers are crossed. It will be painful if the issue is not sorted because that will mean sitting out of active football for the next six months," said the Kenyan international.

"I know the matter is being handled and all I can do is pray."
