State officials said a fully computerized e-panchayat office has already been set up in the village and data is currently being uploaded onto the panchayat website: http://gpbabupur-gurgaon.harpanchayats.gov.in. Panchayat members, gram sachivs and local residents are also being trained to operate all e-panchayat systems independently.

The website includes descriptions of development works, expenditure made on them, status of work, as well as village stats like population, voter lists, prevailing sex ratio, developmental plans with details of income and expenditure.

Officials said the effort is to render all information and decision making in the village completely transparent.
