ILOILO CITY — Police and arson investigators are digging deeper into the death of Jose Daliva and Girlie Alabaran, owners of JD Calibration, a calibration center in Barangay Tagbac, Jaro District in Iloilo City.
Their bodies were found in separate places of their shop that was gutted by fire past 10 p.m. Wednesday.
City Fire Marshall Superintendent Jerry Candido said Daliva’s body, which was found in the back of a car, appeared to have been wrapped in cloth or plastic. Albaran’s body was found in bed and bore stab wound in the neck. A knife was still embedded on her chest.
There was no indication that the victims tried to flee when the fire broke out, Candido said.
“It’s possible that the victims were killed and the establishment was intentionally burnt down to hide the crime,” explained Candido
Scene of the Crime Operatives are scouring the shop with arson investigators for more evidence of foul play.
