An engineering professional ended his life by hanging from the ceiling at his company’s flat at Lokhandwala in Andheri (West).

MUMBAI: An engineering professional ended his life by hanging from the ceiling at his company’s flat at Lokhandwala in Andheri (West). The incident was observed on Tuesday morning when the company's cab driver came to pick the deceased Ram Sahu (35) to go to workplace, said the Oshiwara police.
Police said the prima facie Sahu has taken the extreme step of ending his life under depression and domestic issues.
It is also suspected that Sahu may have hanged himself in inebriated condition. No suicide note was found in the flat. At the time of incident he was alone in the flat while his wife has gone to her mother's house.
Sahu, a native of Raipur in Chhattisgarh, was resided at Neptune tower in Lokhandwala. The flat was given him by his office and he was staying alone. Sahu’s wife has been staying at her mother’s place and she recently delivered a son.
"Sahu's death was learnt by company driver when he reached the flat at 8.30am. The driver said he got suspicious when Sahu did not respond to the several calls he made. The driver peeped from flat window and found Sahu hanging from ceiling fan," said a police.
Police learnt through his friends that he stayed depressed for last several days and has been addicted to alcohol. Police has registered a case of accidental death report (ADR) and probe is on.
