Bacelone v Chelsea: the key battles

Dani Alves

Ramires

A battle of Brazilian internationals -- Ramires will have to stay defensively disciplined, with Alves always looking to surge forward. Ramires, however, has pace and will start counter-attacks, as he did last week in setting up Didier Drogba for the goal which sees Chelsea in front in the tie.

gerard pique

didier drogba

Pique is expected to be brought back into the Barcelona team to provide a physical challenge for Drogba, whose powerful style will suit holding up play in the vast Nou Camp. Against Real Madrid on Saturday, Barca had just one outfield player who was over 6ft tall --Sergio Busquets -- and with Chelsea unlikely to have much possession, they are likely to target set-pieces as a Barca weakness.

alexis sanchez

ashley cole

Sanchez is not as effective as the injured David Villa, but his direct running caused problems in the first leg, when he hit the crossbar with an early chance that could have changed the course of the tie. Cole will have to be careful, as a booking would rule him out of the final, although he was back to his best in shackling Barca in the first leg.
