LAUTERBRUNNEN, Switzerland, July 8 (UPI) -- A wingsuit-flying daredevil filmed rocketing through an 8-foot-wide hole in a Swiss rock formation said he trained for three years for the death-defying stunt.

Uli Emanuele, who describes himself as a "base jumper wingsuit pilot," strapped a GoPro camera to himself for the YouTube video showing him flying through the approximately 8-foot-wide hole in a Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, rock formation.

"That is the smallest hole ever flown through by anyone," he said in the video.

Emanuele's Facebook page says he is constantly on the lookout for "places never jumped before and searching for new terrain flight lines."

"Uli Emanuele pilots what is possibly the most technical and difficult BASE jump ever. For the past 3 years Uli has been dreaming about and preparing for what could be a world record jump. With just his wingsuit and hiking poles, he climbs to his exit point and realizes there is no turning back," the video's description reads.
