Integral will bid to become only the third horse to land back-to-back victories in the Qipco Falmouth Stakes when she lines-up for the Group One over a mile at Newmarket on Friday.

The five-year-old, owned and bred by the Cheveley Park Stud, will attempt to emulate Sonic Lady (1986-7) and Soviet Song (2004-5) as the only dual winners.

However, the Sir Michael Stoute-trained mare will have to bounce back from a disappointing run in the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot, which she had won in 2014.

Sent off the 8-11 favourite, she was only fifth to David O'Meara's Amazing Maria, who will try to show her 25-1 triumph was no fluke.

Euro Charline, who refused to go into the stalls for that race, is one of two runners from Marco Botti's Newmarket stable. The other is Lady Dutch.

There are three French raiders - Avenir Certain, Bawina and Fintry - while the sole Irish challenger is Lucida.

The Jim Bolger-trained filly was second in the Qipco 1000 Guineas and third in the Coronation Stakes. She and David Elsworth's Arabian Queen are the only three-year-olds in the field.
