His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, has posted in his official Twitter page a number of tweets praising the initiative of the Emirati businessman Abdullah Al Ghurair to donate third of his fortune (Dh4.2 billion) to an educational foundation as part of a charity drive.

His Highness said: “What I really admired in Abdullah Al Ghurair’s initiative is that he clearly specified the domain and beneficiary of his donation. The Arab World needs to invest in education, knowledge and innovation”.

He added: “My brother Abdullah Al Ghurair sponsored 15,000 Arab university student. I salute him for his brave initiative”.

Sheikh Mohammed concluded: “When businessmen standup to their social responsibilities and cooperate with governments, then we are on the right path”.
