Tremendous response to job fair

Large numbers of job seekers attended the two-day job fair organised by the Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT) here.

According to MIT Principal B.V. Naresh Kumar, over 22,000 candidates and more than 145 companies took part in the job fair.

The job fair was open to all job aspirants and free transportation facility was made available from different points including bus stand and railway station.

Candidates from Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Jharkhand participated in the job mela, going by the registrations made at the venue. IT majors Infosys, Mphasis, Skypro Technologies, HGS, Strategic HR, Aegeon Tech, VEE Technologies, SYS Information, Nidhi Global solution, Mahindra India Garage, Cauvery Ford, Aadya IT solutions, CETE Software and Café Coffee Day were among the key recruiters.

Mr. Naresh Kumar told The Hindu that the Institute had organised the job fair as part of its Corporation Social Responsibility activity.

He said over 2,086 candidates were given jobs at the fair. He said that the management of the Institute has decided to hold the event every year.
