NEW DELHI: The Metro commuters had a harrowing time on Tuesday when a snag affected services on Blue line causing trains to run slow and halt for several minutes at many stations.
The Blue line connects Dwarka Sector 21 to Noida/Vaishali. According to the Metro officials, all the trains on the line slowed down around 11.50am as they were not meeting their target speed which averages around 36 km/hour.

“The speed, therefore, had to be reset from the central control room of our operations,” an official from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said. It resulted in a chain of delays as trains got stuck in tunnels, elevated tracks and in stations for several minutes. The operational snag left hundreds of passengers stranded on the section. The problem led to overcrowding and many commuters got late.
Blue line, which has seen snags in the past too, is one of the busiest sections in the entire network.
