BHUBANESWAR: The Biju Patnaik International Airport authorities on Tuesday said passengers can get boarding pass for any international destination here. The international operations will start from July 10.
Passengers can board international flights in Delhi with the same boarding pass. Air India will use two of its flights to carry passengers to Delhi, from where they can shift to another airline that will take them to their desired destination abroad.

"Major part of travel formalities will be completed in Bhubaneswar airport. Besides Air India, they can books tickets in 26 other international airlines that are part of the Start Alliance Network," said airport director Sharad Kumar.
Air India sources said it will convert its domestic flight from Delhi to Bhubaneswar (AI 877) for international operations. The flight number will be changed to AI 077. The Air India will run AI 874, which will be renamed as AI 078 for carrying international passengers to Delhi.
"Since facilities for customs and migration checks are available here, passengers can save a lot of time. Arrival and departure timings to and from Bhubaneswar have been decided considering that of international flights from Delhi," he added.
