Spanish side Valencia have submitted a €9 million bid to sign Ghana youth star Bernard Mensah.
The 20-year-old - not to be confused with the Watford player of the same name - is currently plying his trade in Portugal, but is believed to have been on Valencia coach Nuno EspÃrito Santo's radar for some time.
And now reports rifing in Spain and Portugal suggest that Valencia have moved a step further by bidding 9 millions euros to secure Mensah from Vitoria Guimaraes, with Inter Milan, AS Moanco and Manchester United also interested.
Los Che have been impressed with the player's performances last season and they appear eager to lure the youngster to Mestalla at the earliest opportunity.
Mensah signed for Vitoria Guimaraes from Feyenoord Ghana in 2012 and he was handed his senior debut at the start of last season.
The mercurial midfielder nailed down a regular starting berth and went on to score five goals and 30 outings for his Portuguese club last season.
