Legal linguists have plenty to talk about

More than 130 domestic and overseas forensic linguists and law professionals began a three-day biannual conference in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, on Monday.

The 12th Biennial Conference on Forensic Linguistics, organized by the International Association of Forensic Linguists, is being held at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Forensic linguistics is the application of linguistic knowledge, methods and insights to the forensic context of law, language, crime investigation, trial and judicial procedure.
