TPCC forms committee with senior leaders

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday announced the constitution of a committee with senior party leaders and people’s representatives, headed by former Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy as its chairman.

The committee will look into provisions of the Andhra Pradesh States Reorganisation Act and the provisions envisioned in it, the promises made by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the various stages of their being honoured, or given the go-by and also critically examine the function of the TRS government in Telangana.

Mr. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the committee would look into all these aspects, subject-wise and after a close examination, including field visits, submit a report to the TPCC and to the AICC. The committee will soon have its first meeting to chalk out its course of action, said Mr. Suresh Reddy, adding that they would then undertake field trips to critically evaluate works being taken up by the TRS government at the ground level.

The 16 other members include G. Vivekanand, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, D.K. Aruna, S.A. Sampath Kumar, P. Sravan Kumar Reddy, K. Srisailam Goud (MLA), MLCs M.S. Prabhakar and Farooq Hussain, Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar, P. Ajay Kumar (MLA), G. Sukhender Reddy, K. Rajagopal Reddy, M.A. Khan (MP), B. Saraiah and D. Shravan.
