We are taking a look at the top 65 players on the Oakland Raiders ranking them from 1-65, moving upward. The ranking considerations are based on projections and what to expect in 2015:

No. 61, Dexter McDonald, cornerback: The seventh-round pick has good size but needs to work on his technique. But the Raiders are an blank canvas at cornerback. If he proves he belongs, he could play some this season. He has potential.

No. 62, Trindon Holliday, returner: He is, by far, the best returner on the roster. Holliday was an explosive return man in Denver, but he has been cut three times in the past year and is 29. At 5-foot-5, Holliday is not a threat on offense. He has ability, but he might have a tough time making the 53-man roster because of a numbers game at receiver.

No. 63, Chimdi Chekwa, cornerback: He was a fourth-round draft pick in 2011 but has started just four career games. He signed with New England as a free agent this offseason, but was quickly cut. That’s not a good sign. The Patriots have a big need at the position. Yet, the Raiders brought Chewka back. If the young cornerbacks perform well in camp, Chekwa will have a hard time making the team.

No. 64, Tony Bergstrom, guard: He was a third-round pick in 2012. He is famous for being the first pick in the Reggie McKenzie era. Bergstrom is also famous for not playing. He has played in just nine NFL games with one start. He was a healthy scratch for all of the 2014 season. He was working with the second team during the offseason sessions. Perhaps Bergstrom will get a fresh start with the new coaching staff. But he is already 28, so he needs to start flashing soon.

No. 65, Lamar Mady, offensive line: He’s been in the program. He is a young, big body. Mady will get a long look in training camp.
