Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen, title sponsor of the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, is excited to announce the advancement of Central Michigan’s Hail Mary play to the second round of ESPN’s ESPY Awards. Thanks to loyal fans, the play garnered 69% of votes in first round voting!

Central Michigan University’s last-minute Hail Mary pass captivated audiences as the team completed a 75-yard touchdown play involving a 46-yard pass and three laterals. The play was named one of 2014’s best plays by ESPN SportsCenter.

Fans can vote for – the “Bahamas Bowl Hail Mary” in the “Best Play” category by visiting ESPN.com/ESPYS. Click on the “Best Play” button, and then on the “Bahamas Bowl Hail Mary” button to submit your vote. Voting will close for the second round on July 7th. One more round of fan voting will be held and on July 15, the winners will be announced at the annual awards broadcast on ABC from Los Angeles.
