The Arjuna awardee said that her ideal holiday destination would be chilling out on a beach with family and friends.

"I would love to take a break and go to a beach destination. I have read so much about Greece and hence it is on the top of my travel list for now. Apart from that, I want to go to Hawaii.

"Frankly speaking, I haven't taken a break for a really long time," Ponnappa told mid-day yesterday, during her visit to Total Spots and fitness store in Dadar.

Tourist dreams
The 25-year-old added that though she travels across the globe for tournaments, she would like to visit those places as a normal tourist.

"I travel a lot, but I don't get time to go around the place really. After I finish my matches, I prefer to get back home so that I get to spend some quality time with my family before getting back to my routine. I hope someday I could revisit those places and enjoy the natural beauty," she said.

Ponnappa said she likes looking good on and off the court. "I love to shop. I love to look good and presentable on court and off it as well. Basically, I like wearing clothes that are comfortable and also experiment with my looks," said Ponnappa who is No 13 in the women's doubles ranking.

The 2010 Commonwealth Games women's doubles gold medallist said that though she is a foodie, she sticks to known eatery joints.

"I just love food but at the same time, I tend to stick to places which I feel are a safe bet.

I don't know too many places in Mumbai, but I love the food at Mahesh Lunch home and I am glad that they have opened one in Bangalore too, which I visit often," said Ponnappa who likes to chill out with friends when not playing badminton.
