Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao formally launched his bus yatra from Peddapalli town to participate in the Haritha Haram programme on Sunday.

The Chief Minister, who made a night halt after participating in Haritha Haram in Husnabad, Chigurumamidi and Thimampur mandals on Saturday, visited Yadagirigutta in helicopter on Sunday morning to receive President Pranab Mukherjee.

Later, he arrived at Peddapalli town on Sunday afternoon to participate in Haritha Haram. From there, he launched his bus yatra and visited Dharmaram from where he entered neighbouring Adilabad district.

The police had made elaborate security arrangements for Chief Minister’s bus yatra in the district. They had stepped security by deploying additional police forces right from Peddapalli to Rayapatnam adjoining Adilabad district.
