Team Sky rider Ben Swift is targeting a return to racing at next month's Tour of Poland.
The 27-year-old Briton has been out of action since damaging the joint of his right shoulder in a crash at the Tour de Yorkshire in May.
He had to undergo surgery on the injury but has been able to maintain his fitness by riding on a turbo trainer.
Swift is now aiming to take part in the seven-day Tour of Poland, which takes place from August 2-8 and holds happy memories after he won two stages of the 2012 edition.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: "I just want to try to put the injury behind me and come out strong. I have trained pretty hard.
"I crashed when I was already fit, so I haven't had to gain that base fitness. I have just been working at quite high intensity on the turbo and now a couple of weeks of good endurance and strength work on the bike.
"I will start racing again at the Tour of Poland in August and just see how it goes, but I would love to try and pick up a few wins at the end of the season.
"This injury put me out for three months and, in the middle of the season, to take three months out is quite frustrating."
Swift has one win to his name this season, which came at the Settimana Coppi e Bartali in Italy in March.
