Michael Dods is confident a step up to six furlongs will hold no fears for Easton Angel in the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket on Friday.
The juvenile filly looked every inch a Royal Ascot contender after winning her first two starts at Musselburgh and Beverley, victories which prompted powerhouse owners Al Shaqab Racing to snap up a half-share ahead of her appearance in the Queen Mary.
That decision was vindicated in defeat as Easton Angel ran a fantastic race to fill the runner-up spot behind imposing American raider Acapulco.
Dods said: "She's in good form and the plan is to run, all being well. I think she'll stay. She was running on well at the end of a stiff five furlongs at Ascot.
"You'd like to think (she'll be hard to beat), but you never know in these races. There's usually something there to beat you!"
