Eloped couple found, tension prevails in Vadodara

VADODARA: The youth and the girl from different communities, who had eloped sparking a row at Ghoghamba taluka in Panchmahal district, were nabbed near Shamlaji on the Gujarat-Rajasthan border. They are being interrogated in connection with the offence registered against them.
The couple had eloped on Thursday from Goth village causing tension there.The tension was heightened on Friday when a memorandum was submitted condemning the act and a bandh being imposed at Ghoghamba, the taluka headquarters.
The youth and girl had been named in an offence registered by the Rajgadh police. The girl's parents had accused the youth of abducing the girl. The girl was also accused of stealing valuables worth Rs 82,500 from her residence.
The police had been on trail of the eloped couple ever since their parents approached the Rajgadh police. The local crime branch of Panchmahal district was also roped in for investigations.
